Swift Systems – SSAE-16 Type II Compliant Company

Swift Systems recently completed its annual audit for SSAE-16 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) (SOC 1) Type II compliance for the year long period under review, which ran from 2012 – 2013. This examination over company controls and related processes ensures that Swift’s systems are secure and that the proper proactive processes and industry best practices are followed in order to provide the best data center / colocation, cloud hosting, and managed IT services available.

SSAE-16 Type II (SOC 1) is the new and improved successor to the better known SAS-70 IT Audit, and is a report, “prepared in accordance with Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16, Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization, are specifically intended to meet the needs of the of entities that use service organizations (user entities) and the CPAs that audit the user entities’ financial statements (user’ auditors), in evaluating the effect of the controls at the service organization on the user entities’ financial statements.” (www.aicpa.org)

Auditors tested the accuracy of Swift’s descriptions and assertions of operational and security controls, as well as the implementation and effectiveness of those same controls over the specific period of time.

The SSAE-16 audit was performed by the award winning certified public accounting firm IS Partners, LLC, a firm that specializes in SSAE 16 and technology auditing. The audit covered all of Swift’s data center, cloud hosting platform, and managed IT solutions.
